Pi Model or other hardware: Raspberry Pi 3 B+
Power Supply used: 5V/3A power adaptor.
RetroPie Version Used: 4.4 image, updated to 4.5.8 retropie_script
Built From: 4.4 image from RetroPie website
    USB Devices connected: None
Controller used: Bluetooth WiiU Pro controller, 8bitdo M30, and 8bitdo SN30PRO
Error messages received: key you just presses is not recoqnised by the SDL. [To help get this fixed, please report this to SDL mailing list sdl@libsdl.org] ENDEV KeyCode NUMBER 305 (Sometimes also displays # 544,545,547, etc))
Emulator: Everything. Even when I select Kodi.

    How to replicate the problem:

Everything was working fine until I updated from 4.5.2 to 4.5.8. I can still use the controllers but this does make me quite concerned since it may present a problem in the future. I tried updating the script and everything from binary but the problem still persists. Here is the run command log:

bash: /opt/retropie/supplementary/joystick-selection/js-onstart.sh: No such file or directory
    Parameters:
    Executing: /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-snes9x2010/snes9x2010_libretro.so --config /opt/retropie/configs/snes/retroarch.cfg "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/snes/3 Ninjas Kick Back (USA).zip" --appendconfig /dev/shm/retroarch.cfg

Something doesn't add up here - which version is your installation image, 4.1 or 4.4 ?

@mitu I just checked the 2.0.10 release was missing one of my patches from earlier releases. I have fixed but need to bump and rebuild bins

@mitu Image 4.4. Sorry. I used another post as a template and forgot to change that.

@BuZz Thank You! So should I try to update the script and update everything again?

@Styleshift if you update RetroPie-Setup and then emulation station that should pull in the new sdl2. Or just do a full update from RetroPie-Setup (second option).

@BuZz Thank you so much! (It worked)

I hate to be a huge pain in the butt but now I am no longer able to use the scraper. The error leaves the screen way too fast for me to read but it says: "Thegamesdbjson request error parsing json. invalid request."

I'm not as worried about this issue since I can do these by hand but I thought I'd let you guys know. Again, thank you very much!

TheGamesDBNet site has recently suffered a re-location and their API is not fully restored - see https://forums.thegamesdb.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&p=2228. Choose the ScreenScraper site for scraping, from the Scraper menu in EmulationStation.

@mitu @BuZz You guys really have made my night. I was having a pretty bad time earlier today. I recently built a new PC and just found out that one of the sticks of ram I bought was defective. I also chipped a tooth today. Those are just a few of the things that have happened to me recently. I've never made a post before but I have been using the Pi for emulation since 2013 and it's always been there for me on rough days like these. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. Problem solved. I'm done yammering. lol.

Can it run homebrew now? ;-)

Thanks for the kind remarks. (Hope your tooth is fixed up soon - not fun !).
