I just installed 4.5.8 weekly image today on the Pi4 and everything seems to work well except I cant connect any of BT controllers. Using RetroPi-Setup.sh -> Bluetooth I get as far as selecting the security method but all options end with an error from bluez saying Authentication Failed.

The Pi4 is a work in progress and some things might not work - see https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
As a diagnostic step, try installing Raspbian (Desktop) on your sd card and see if you're able to pair/connect your controller. What controller are you using ? Please add more details, just as indicated in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

Thanks @mitu I think its just an issue with the GUI side, when I used bluetoothctl in the CLI I was able to scan and pair my devices without issue.
