@SuperMagicom is there a way to speed up the page loading? I keep it on slide transitions and when I go from page and page it does not always loads it instantaneously

Indeed.. The creator may not be aware of the changes that needs to be made. I wonder if we can contact him in any way. He hasn't been online since august last year :(

Unfortunately, there is no Sega Saturn support yet.
I could help out with an image (vector graphic, png or whatever is needed), if somebody feels up to the task of adding the page.

I really like this theme. I made the files for 3 new platforms (c64, gamecube and wii). How can I add them to the package (I am new to this)? Thanks @SuperMagicom! The images for the gamecube and wii are from Viking as the original theme.

Since @SuperMagicom seems not too active, if your are interested in adding the Commodore 64, Gamecube or WII to your nostalgic theme, you can simply go to my repository (https://github.com/JungleJim42/es-theme-nostalgic) and add the c64, gc and wii folders into your theme folder.

                    Wow, this theme looks awesome.

@Jungle-Jim I notice your repo is 2 commits ahead of @SuperMagicom. Is your plan to keep this theme up to date in his absence?

@nadcraker Not really, this is only my first contribution to any project, I wouldn't dare to be in charge. The commits are just the 3 new backgrounds (and logo and xml) and the addition in the "read-me" file. If anyone wants to take the responsability of this theme (Supermagicom seems pretty inactive), they are welcome to include my contribution.

Also, if anyone else wants to create some more backgrounds, I found the background image and the console images on Viking's site, and he allows anyone to use them, I could post the links.

PS: I really like the theme because it makes you feel like you have the original console/computer and throws you back in time. Also, since my kids use my retropie, they get to learn the technological evolution.

In case anyone else had the same issue, I had trouble getting the arcade marquees to show up. Discovered that by changing the gameslist view style to "video" they will work.

                                    Hi There,
I discovered this awesome theme few days ago, I decided to fork it and make some changes to the original since it was not updated anymore.

I also saw you PR on GitHub and I have integrated your changes in my fork.

I want to update/maintain this theme. I already made some changes (removed the selector color on each console theme for a more cleaner view, also made the font a little bit bigger and re-organized few things)

Also, I have added support for wheel/thumbnail. Since RetroPie do not support the "thumbnail" node from the gamelist, I'm using the marquee node has the "thumbnail", except for arcade.

I have removed the PNG logos and replaced them with SVG version too.

you can check it here : https://github.com/supersquared/es-theme-nostalgic

It's a work in progress right now

@Supersquared looking good! One thing this theme is missing is a "ports" section. I ended up borrowing the ports logo svg from the carbon theme and using the dos background in the gameslist view. But I'd be curious to see what you come up with too. :)
