Help with My Raspberry Pi 4

Hi guys, someone can tell me where can i get an sd card image for my raspberry 4? o dont care if beta o beta2 o whatever!!

You need to manual install. Check out RetroPie's guide on manual installs. Simply install Raspbian and type the commands in the terminal.

@aleconcept start from Raspbian and install RetroPie as an app. I have a pretty functional system going on an RPi4 with 19 systems running flawlessly (including playstation which I have just tested with flawless 100% performance). N64 is still very bad, but will probably improve at some point.

Still very bad? It's magnitudes better than on previous pi models. Which game is causing you problems?

@quicksilver It could be the games I’ve tried, but for example 007 Goldeneye slows way down.

@StigNasty just to mention two things:
- i own two real N64 (one in use and a sealed one in spare) and can say that "007: Golden Eye" also slows down on real hardware. In Example: right from the start after you turn left to the building complex and the first enemys appear the game stutters a little bit.
- Golden Eye has performance issues since N64 Emulation has started in the 90s. Propably not the best choice to get a reference for general emulation speed ;)

What would be the difference of a manual build on top of fresh rasbian than the weekly build?

Not much, they have the same OS and packages.

@e4rthdog These weekly builds are ready to go. No need to manually build them with Raspbian and they don't have to run using the desktop of Raspbian. It's just like having the official RetroPie which works with older RPi's.

@djchewmacca ? Really, so installing the weekly build is now as easy as the official builds I currently use in RP3, what about adding the games. Are the default emulators still installed when games are added and can custom themes from the theme list still be used?

@mat Yes that all works the same way. Just be aware that its not officially supported yet, so while a lot of it works pretty seamlessly there may potentially be bugs or packages/emulators that are not working or not implemented yet.

@quicksilver Well the only packages I use Atari 2600, NES, SNES, DS, GBA, Turbo GFX, Genesis, PS1, and LR-Mame 2003. Do all the emulators that work currently as default those work well for RP4?
If so, I will give it a go :) And thanks for the replies.

Just download the one you want to try out and flash it to your SD card like you normally would

Hopefully, the last questions, is it wise to reinstall to the newest weekly build when they are released, or can I update the same way as I do now through the update script?
How well does LR-mame2010 run on RP4? I wouldn't mind moving on from 2003 since that is all I used on RPi3.

You can update normally, no need to re-install the image.
How well does LR-mame2010 run on RP4? I wouldn't mind moving on from 2003 since that is all I used on RPi3.
Should be better, but I don't use it that much so my experience is limited.
