Theme seems broken and I'm unable to apply any themes
-
I'm running RetroPie fork of EmulationStation on Arch Linux. I have installed latest ES from AUR.
Theme appears to be a default/broken/missing. I'm unable to tell which ROM is currently selected.
I've attempted adding themes but it's not working. Yet, I'm quite sure everything is configured correctly.

Run EmulationStation with
--debug
and post the log on pastebin.com. Where did you get the themes ? Have you tried the default (Carbon) theme from https://github.com/RetroPie/es-theme-carbon ? -
@mitu I used themes from an AUR package that refers to this site as upstream.
Here's the debug output but there doesn't seem to be anything relevant.
https://pastebin.com/D9uPxD15Strangely, the theme you suggested seems to work well, although it gives some errors in the debug.
https://pastebin.com/80kTSaUkSo I guess my problem is solved as the Carbon theme works. But it's still unclear why none of the themes I've found myself don't work.

The RetroPie fork has a lot of differences to the upstream from where the themes are downloaded. I guess they're incompatible - something to report to the package maintainer maybe.
You can find a list of compatible theme with the RetroPie fork here, listed by Github user and repository. -
I tried to apply some of the themes from the list you linked and they don't work either. Same result as on the first screenshots I posted.
The Carbon theme kind of does apply but now breaks when opening a system:
I guess there's just something wrong with the package on AUR and I need to find some other way of installing the ES. Thanks for your help!
