@chicuelo I know what you mean about the wider boxes/ portrait titles being a banana skin for this idea. That's where 3mix art does help. My other tweak experiment was this:

I'm researching whether it's possible to just show the year and not dd/mm/yyyy - I think it's cleaner to have just the year.

Second one looks best.

You can have it just display the year for the release date:

Using the format tag with %Y gets you there.

@chicuelo Thanks very much for uploading this again. I love the clean look of this theme (and no metadata!). One quick question - on the newest version it appears some systems are Spanish and some are English - do you have English versions of the systems?

@chicuelo Couple more quick questions - it looks like the Sega CD logo is missing (replaced by 32X logo/description).

Also, I know it's only partially supported but the TI-99 logo seems to be a bit off centre (I'm testing on a 4:3 screen but it appears different/wider than the others?. It might look OK on 16:9 display which I will try).

And both MAME and FBA are showing "Arcade" logos/descriptions. Is that by design?

@RumblinBuffalo I really don´t use too many systems so I could not tell that logos are well displayed, also I do prefer calling "Arcades" to mame or fba because those are the name of the emulator, and not the systems so yes, in that case is a design/ display decition. If you want you can replace any logo of your prefefrence, or edit existing ones to match your build preferences!

Hey :) I just had chance to update the theme from my old copy (since you kindly re-uploaded it and made some tweaks) and all works great except I too noticed that the Sega CD system now incorrectly displays the 32x logo.

We had a Sega CD logo before, I think I might have put it together or tweaked it when I helped with a few bits on the theme previously.

I found an old copy of the logo you previously used, and I created a pull request to restore it.

If you are happy to restore that would be great! Just need you to accept the pull request if so.

No worries! I actually noticed a few others, the Megadrive logo is now Genesis for some reason (we had separate Genesis and MD logos before), also Atari 2600 is now just Atari (but 5200 and 7800 are ok), and Sinclair ZX Spectrum is now just Sinclair.

Not sure if these changes were deliberate - or maybe you uploaded older versions of the files?

I also noticed MAME and FBA logos were replaced with just 'arcade', however there is already an arcade.svg for people to use who use the 'arcade' folder. Maybe it is worth restoring those too to give people the choice?

I have copies of the latest version of the theme before you had to remove it, so I can easily help re-upload any missing logos. Happy to cross check each and raise a pull request accordingly.

Didn't want to start doing pull requests for things you don't want without checking first though :)

Hmm, TurboGrafx-16, PCE-CD, Supergrafx etc are all also missing from your reupload, but I have copies of them. 3do also looks a bit strange.

I'm wondering if you reuploaded an older version of the logos folder, or maybe removing these was deliberate.

If you like, I can always take the logos I have (which were the latest before you removed the theme originally) and raise a pull request to restore everything?

Do you remember adjusting any of the logos deliberately between when you took the theme down originally and when you reuploaded it recently?

Just so I don't go overwriting any 'deliberate' changes you might have made.

Otherwise, i'll do just a full restore of all the logos from my last copy (fully up to date before the theme was pulled) and raise a PR.

I think the character assets are ok now so that's complete.
I changed slightly the global and in game backgounds, make them a little bit darker and added a texture so yes, they are new

Also I noticed this, from a year ago :) the backgrounds are now the older lighter colour for some reason, rather than the darker type you preferred/updated to. Again, I have a backup of this luckily so I can easily help restore.

I will spend a little time going through and updating my fork to be basically the most 'up to date' in terms of logo and xml, and i'll include your new characters of course - as I can see you have reworked several of them when you reuploaded the theme :)

Ok the more I study this the more I understand what's happened here. A lot of the theme.xml files are also out of date, as I remember some of the changes we made to them aren't there any more.

But don't worry - i'll fix this all up for you and raise a PR.

Basically, what i'm going to do, is use my backup of the latest version of the theme, but leave the characters directory alone as they contain new images. I will also make a neogeocd theme.xml as I see you have a controller/logo image for that, i'll duplicate the neogeo character like we did with other CD images.

Stand by...in a couple of hours i'll have a PR raised which should hopefully bring the theme back up to where it was (with the new character imagery).

@movisman Great! I really did not use this version of the theme. I only have 16 systems and spanish version.
What i am sure is that the characters are ok because I manually updated all of them.

No worries! You are correct, the characters are all good. I've spent some time fixing things up and restoring the latest version, and will create a PR shortly. I also fixed an outstanding issue with the system logos occasionally cropping at the right edge by adding a 5px padding around the x/y on each.

Here's what i've sorted:

update readme.md to add neogeocd support
copy neogeo.jpg character to neogeocd.jpg for neogeocd support
restore correct / newest versions of logos+controllers
restore system specific theme.xml files to correct / latest versions
restore latest version of background files
restore missing systems (supergrafx, etc)
leave characters folder 'as is' as this contains new artwork, seems fine
rework all logos so they have a 5px padding/margin on x/y, this fixes occasional logo cropping on the system select screen for certain systems

PR incoming shortly. I'll then update and test.
