      Just a heads up that something is broken with latest gliden64 from source. I updated mupen64plus today from source and whatever changes they have made have broken the graphics of almost every game I tested. I reverted to the binary version for now and is working fine.

      I'm using a pi 4 running latest RetroPie (updated the setup script about 30 mins ago).

        @quicksilver

        Make sure EnableHybridFilter=False in mupen64plus.cfg

        Check the rp-dist copy. It's a new default.

          @BuZz hi buzz, thanks for the reply. I have the hybrid filter turned off. Even when it was on though it only caused slowdown from my testing but didn't break the graphics like this. Let me double check my settings though and just make sure the setting didn't get turned back on. That way we can confirm if the issue is related to the hybrid filter.

            I double-checked and after updating mupen64plus from source, the hybrid filter is still turned off and graphics are still broken. I can post some pics if needed.

              I can confirm it. a recent change. There was a ticket regarding an issue but I thought it was resolved. I'll bisect but worth checking on https://github.com/gonetz/GLideN64 as it may be known.

                @BuZz I looked at recent open and closed issues but nothing stands out as the same problem. Should I open a issue there now or wait for you to bisect?

                  @quicksilver @dankcushions opened an issue and I'm fixing up errors in the shader code currently.

                    I've posted a fix upstream. It's not worth patching this in RetroPie as I'm sure it will be fixed soon.

                        @quicksilver upstream has applied a fix. You can try to install from source again.

                          @BuZz from preliminary testing, the upstream fix seems to have solved the issue. Thanks again for digging into this.

                            I used mupen64plus on pi3B+ and it freezes with glide 64 games have more lag than with impending 64 plus
                            I recently updated 4.5 to 4.6
