Has anyone got gamecube emulation working on the retropie. It definitely can be done (see https://www.reddit.com/r/RetroPie/comments/cuuioi/wii_and_gamecube_on_raspberry_pi_4_tutorial/ ).

I've held off on testing as it claims it needs a 64bit kernel and retropie 4.6 ihas a 32 bit kernel.

Thoughts? Has anyone tried this? I guess worse case if I compile dolphin on a 32bit kernel it won't work / run slow best case it may work?

I realize it speed will be very variable but I have been blown away by the psp, N64, and dreamcast performance.

      Thanks
      Jonathan

I don't believe that is entirely true. It is true that Dolphin isn't available as a retropie package but the link I include shows someone running dolphin on a pie 4 (not a retropie image) and inludes instructions on how to do this. Unfortunately step one is install a 64 bit kernel which makes me nervous... I was curious to see if anyone had done this already.

If you've watched videos, the performance is not worth the hassle. If I really want to play gc/wii, I'll use an emulator on my pc, or use a real wii which I got for ~$30 many years ago.
