Looking at the requirements, it won't work on a Pi or any SBCs.

@mitu That is true, but it could work on a Linux computer, and eventually a newer version of raspberry pi. :)

@mitu Do you think it could be added?

Just because someone requested something, it doesn't mean it will be added. It's a volunteer based project, anyone can send a request with the necessary code changes for an emulator to be added, then the request will be reviewed and maybe merged.

              @mitu Sorry, I didn't mean to rude.

I didn't think you were rude, I was just explaining how adding a new emulator in RetroPie usually works.

@mitu Do I have to notify Buzz for this to be considered, or is that your job?

@Unknown I don't have any 'job' - as I said in my previous reply, this is a volunteer effort done in our free time.

@mitu Ok. Does that mean I should mention Buzz in here?

@Unknown I wouldn't if I were you. Since RetroPie is a collaborative effort done by volunteers in their spare time it's not good practice to expect others to do all the heavy lifting for you. Its likely he has already seen this post, if he has any motivation/time to want to add this he will. However something I have discovered is that those that know how to do things are much more likely to help those who don't know how to do things, if those that don't know try to do it themselves first.

Wouldn't Wii U choke up the CPU on anything other than a desktop computer? I've seen dolphin on a Pi 4, running the original Wii, and it's CRAP. The Pi 4 was actually 4GB and overclocked to 2000 megahertz. I would think Wii U would cause something to explode.

Then why can't he run the emulator natively?

I plan to test it on a desktop, I just need to know if an intel core2 duo is powerful enough to run retro pie with this emulator. Then I need to get some roms. I will let you know what happens when I test it.

I think the Wii U would be in a similar situation until a newer pi comes out, but it should work on a 64bit desktop computer.

I've begun the outline of a decaf-emu install script. It does NOT work! I thought I'd post it with the hope of either help, or allowing someone else to run with it. I haven't had much time to work on it yet.

                                            https://raw.githubusercontent.com/gderber/RetroPie-Setup/feature/decaf/scriptmodules/emulators/decaf.sh

                                            currently build fails with:

                                            [ 19%] Linking CXX static library ../../obj/liblibcpu.a

                                            make[1]: *** [src/libgpu/CMakeFiles/libgpu.dir/all] Error 2
Makefile:129: recipe for target 'all' failed

                                            A couple of notes:

                                            1. I am running RetroPie on a PC
                                            2. I am not sure if my PC is powerful enough for this. I decided one way to find out is to try it out and see what happens.
                                            3. I haven't actually run the script. I am trying out all the commands manually one step at a time to identify all the information required to script the install.
