NES30 Pro Game Pad and RetroArch Confirm and Decline Buttons (RP v4.0)
-
Have just installed RetroPie v4.0 and have connected my NES30 Pro Game Pad (8BitDo) via bluetooth with works fine in EmulationStation but have just gone into RetroArch and while i can navigate the menus no button on the NES30 pad enables me to exit a menu, why is this??
-
Also the core updater doesnt seem to be working either!.
To get around the probelm of no exit button being defined before you do anything else in RetroArch go to the input settings and define all your buttons for player 1, and then you'll be able to exit the menus
-
The exit button should be configured automatically - what does your controller config file look like.
Which firmware are you using for the controller, and do you have the hack on?Do RetroArch based games work fine with the controller, all hotkeys and buttons work ok?

The core updater isn't used in RetroPie.
-
Well i have the latest FW version installed on the pad, so i thought i didnt need the hack??
-
Please confirm which version of the firmware you are using. Also, if you post your controller config I can confirm it.
Do the games work fine as it is - is it just RGUI that doesnt work? -
@Floob Im just going to try a fresh image file to start from scratch, i have FW v1.69 installed. Just watched your video an it appears i need to turn the hack option off, i left it as default before which is on
-
Yeah its all sorted now.
How do i install the core nestopia, it appears i cant install it through RetroArch itself.
Also there seems to be a bug with the shader menu, im using the Pi CRT shader and if i try and edit the shader settings with either the 'Menu Shader Parameters' or 'Preview Shader Paramters setting it causes Retroarch to carsh.
EDIT: Not if you load in any overlay and try and scale the overlay in the overlay options this also causes RetroArch to crash!

You install the cores and other emulators in the RetroPie Setup script, check the manage packages option.

-
You could edit the shader file directly
