Hi. I just got a Raspberry Pi 4 about a week ago and I'm having issues with only PSX games. It seems that there is audio but no video on them. I can bring up the Retroarch menu from the game and see the video but when it gets closed the screen just goes back to black.
I've tried to reinstall the games and reinstall the lr-pcsx-rearmed. Everything has a .bin and .cue that match as they did have video but then stopped recently. I also have the BIOS. Also .pbp files do the same thing. It seems to have started when I messed with the Raspbi Config on my video settings but I changed them back and its just not working.
I'm new to this type of thing so if you can help please layout the steps very specifically.
      Thanks

Please add more info about your setup, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
What changes have you done with raspi-config ? Did you save any configuration in RetroArch for the PS1 system ?

@mitu Hi. If you need something else please let me know.
          Pi 4
Using the base power supply from the CanaKit
          I'm running on version 4.6
Using the standard 32G SD card with NOOBS and official RetroPie
Have an Xbox 360 controller and a Mayflash Arcade Stick F500

In raspi-config I went into the advanced options and was messing with the resolution. I changed to something and then put it back to the preferred default setting.
I think I did save a config for the PS1. I know that I did to save the controller mapping and a core remap file. Other than this I can not say.

Once again sorry if what you are looking for isn't here or if I don't know.

Edit - There is a retroarch config file in my PSX folder that I just found.

How large is it ? If it's more than 3 lines, then you saved an entire RetroArch configuration - this might include some video settings that are faulty.

@mitu Can you tell me how to open that to read it? When I go to it on my laptop when connected through network it won't let me open the .cfg file

@obsolete It's a text file, you can open it with any plain text editor (Notepad/Notepad++).

@mitu So the retroarch config is absolutely huge. Its over 3000 lines total. What should I do?

@obsolete Rename the file, then re-install the lr-pcsx-rearmed package from RetroPie-Setup.

@mitu What does the file need to be? Should it still be in the PSX config folder?

@obsolete Doesn't matter where, as long as it's not present - with the same name - in that configuration folder. Just add .bak at the end of the file name.

@mitu So I have a retroarch.cfg, a retroarch.cfg.bkp, and a retroarch.cfg.rp-dist. What do I do with all of these? I should only rename the retroarch.cfg right? Should I move a copy to my desktop and then delete them all?

@mitu If all else fails I will just take my losses and use everything else minus the PSX emulator. I now have a gray and white retroarch menu on PSX instead of the green like on everything else. So I'm obviously not doing something correctly.

Did you use Reset Configuration from the RetroArch's menu (RGUI) ? If you do, the menu driver is no longer RGUI (the green menu), but the default (Ozone).

The /opt/retropie/configs/psx/retroarch.cfg should contain only 3 lines

                                # Settings made here will only override settings in the global retroarch.cfg if placed above the #include line

                                input_remapping_directory = "/opt/retropie/configs/psx/"

@mitu I do recall pressing reset. The retroarch config that was then present did have 3 lines but it still didn’t help the problem.
Another problem I had when I was trying to transfer a rom over WiFi it said action interrupted. Do you know anything about that either?

Post a detailed log then - see https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Runcommand/#launch-with-verbose-logging for how to get one.

No idea, but it's likely a flaky Wi Fi connection.

On WinSCP, I only have the path of home/pi/RetroPie and home/pi/RetroPie-Setup. Where do I go from here?

@obsolete You need to configure WinSCP to show you the hidden files/folders. Any folder/file that starts with a . (dot) is hidden in Linux/Unix.
