The RetroPie Way to install Steam Link?
-
There a several (but not a ton) of tutorials on how to install Steam Link on the Pi, and fewer on how to install specifically on RetroPi.
The RetroPi instructions invariably refer to installing from the "Experimental Packages" from RetroPIe setup. As of 7/2/2020, Steam Link is unavailable in Experimental Packages.
I understand it's possible to install via ssh and apt-get install (or apt-install?), but I'm wondering if that's not the "RetroPie Way". If apt is currently the only way to install, where will the package show up on the menu system?
Thanks!
I'm running a RPi 3b on ethernet.

The recommended way is via the package present in the experimental section.

It still is there. What version of RetroPie are you using and how did you install it ?

It is v4.5, and I installed it using etcher on gentoo linux. Perhaps I should use an earlier version?
