    Hello there,

Daphne games are filling the screen in 16/9. It is the case with my TV and my PC monitor. I'm wondering if there is a parameter to add/modify in .command files to keep 4/3 aspect ratio.

    Pi4 4Go
    RetroPie 4.6
SD 32 Go USB 256 Go
    daphne emulator up to date.

I don't have any practical experience with that, but maybe you can set the video mode for Daphne in the Runcommand Launch Menu.

I tried every 480p, 600p, 720p mode in the runcommand menu and it didn't change anything. The picture fills the screen. No error message. I configured my TV output for mupen64 rice plugin to display 4/3 in 480p and it works fine. When I quit a game, 16/9 is coming back automatically in 1080p mode, no problem. But with daphne games it's an other story : when I setup my screen for 4/3, it doesn't switch to 16/9 when quitting the game.

I don't have any actual experience with this, but you could try to set the resolution in the runcommand-onend script with the tvservice command.

This should be resolved now if you update RetroPie-Setup and then reinstall Daphne (or update sdl1 from depends package section).

The sdl1/runcommand change should fix aspect ratio issues on all sdl1 emulators with dispmanx backend on the rpi4/fkms.

Eg. Dosbox, xrick, fuse and so on.
