Retropie OS vs Retropie inside Twister OS?

I wanted to do some emulation/gaming on my pi 4 and recently came across Twister OS which comes preinstalled with Retropie. My question is are there any performance differences between using the Retropie OS vs Retropie inside Twister OS? What do you guys recommend? Thanks!

AFAIK Twister OS uses the desktop - but that is not a supported RetroPie configuration - on the Pi, RetroPie doesn't use the desktop.

In RetroPie you can install graphical interface pixel from retropie-setup
