Hi, i like that retro pie would have normal buttons, that are everywhere the same.
Lets say you have a PS joystick, and you press X, that should be enter.
With pressing 0 should be back.

Then it would be the same everywhere.
Because in some setup menus, the buttons are swapped like it should and is very confusing.

Why in the first place is it wrong ?
And why is it not the same in all underlaying setup menus ?

Sony Japan has this just fixed, so it is worldwide the same.
Now Retro-Pie has to adress this issue also.

thank you if you solve it.
Did no one else give you this advice before ?

Retro-pie is not made in Japan right ?

      bye

Yes it is wrong because it is not in all menus the same button.

I understand your comment if you use a keyboard with your raspi, i dont.

ask yourself the same question - PRs welcome :)

please give a specific example of when it is different. note that not all parts of retropie are necessarily under this project's control

I know, if you in some linux menus you get X to enter en 0 to exit.
Why not adjust it to that you dont make so its all the same ?

@wild-snail We understand what you are saying, but retropie is like legos. think of it as each part/program is a different lego, that when you put them together, you get a rocketship, or in this case retropie. And each lego is produced by a different person or group of people, some that dont even work with each other. The default for most things in retropie is Nintendos way, caus thats the way the separte programers decided to do it. East button being enter and south button being cancel. you can switch it up in emulation station, but it won't switch it up in retroarch or the linux command line menus, because they are different legos, i mean programs.
