CEC power button kills Kodi instead shutting down
-
I have a strange problem that I cannot solve myself.
I installed Kodi on retropie. I can control it via my remote via cec.
Everything is fine except for when I push the powerbutton, it instantly kills Kodi and the Pi, as if I plug the powercord.I tried modifing the keymap to <general><remote><power>Exit</power></remote></general>. I also tried Shutdown() and Powerdown. All with no effect.
I tried disabling cec in the boot/config.txt with hdmi_ignore_cec=1. This disables CEC altogether also for Kodi. Hitting power on my remote doesn't do anything then. But I want to use my remote of course. So this is no solution, just a test.
I also do not know how to test the button if it has another id or so. I tried the keymapper addon for that purpose, but when I try to configure the power button it kills the pi/shuts it down instantly.
I also thought about that the shutdown default might be different, I wanted to change it in Kodi's preferences/system/hardware, but strangely I do not have the hardware menu and the option under powersaving where one can set what should happen when the timer is running out is greyed out and unavailable.
Anyone with an idea what is going on? All I want is Kodi shutting down gracefully when using my remote as if I select the shutdown option from the power menu...because selecting from the menu it works fine.
I use a RPi 3b, Kodi 18.2 and my TV is a Loewe Art 32 (with latest firmware)

@ramco That's weird, I never saw a TV/Remote who shuts down Kodi or the Raspberry, the power button is never assigned to o CEC button, it should only turn off the TV.
Probably it is your TV brand, never heard about that one. Each TV brand as it's own CEC implementation and name, yours might be one of the weakest.
You said you are running Kodi 18.2, Kodi is currently in version 18.8, update it and check, although I doubt it will fix your problem.
