      In J-nes for example, there is an option called nes_ntsc(composite) which replicates/mimics the view of an older TV. Does the NES emulator have something like this or equivalent?

        @kevinmac retroarch has shaders.

          Can retroarch be used with retropie? Or are you just suggesting an entirely different emulator altogether?

            @kevinmac most of the emulators on retropie are through retroarch.

            Here's a simple guide I found online. https://www.maketecheasier.com/emulate-crt-displays-with-retropie-shaders/ I've never used shaders before so I'm probably not the best person to ask. There are other posts on the forum about it as well

                @kevinmac the CRT-PI shader included with retropie emulates shaders as well. beyond that i think the default NES emulator has core options that have different NES color palettes to reflect how different TVs affected the signal. lots of stuff to experiment with, in any case.
