      Hi all,
      I'm closing my project based on raspberry pi4 and retropie. Actually it has:
      -Raspi4 2GB;
      -uSD 128GB;
      -Power Supply 5v, 3A;
      -Retropie 4.6.x;
      -Zero delay encoder ;
      -4 direction Joystick;
      -8 buttons;
      -plastic 3D printed enclosure.

      Now I would to add a spinner. I found a model on Amazon (can I share link?) but I don't understand how can I connect it to raspberry. Can I use the zero delay encoder or I have to use another one?
      Thanks for help.

        @pscotto1234 I think it's fair to share the link, as many people did here for other controllers.

        Most spinners I know emulate a mouse with only one axis (or two axes for two spinners) like the Ultimarc SpinTrak which I have built two of into my DIY upright cabinet.

          This is the Spinner
          I would to understand where to connect it. Can I use the zero delay encoder? Or do I have to buy another encoder?

            Its product descriptions says that it only works with the ARCADE1UP Asteroids Cabinet, so I wouldn't expect it to work with another encoder.

            Arcade Spinner Supporta solo controller di giochi per asteroidi macchina Arcade1UP

              Ok. I didn't see.
              So you suggest me to use Ultimarc solution?
              Is there something cheaper?

                Well, I like them very much. They are not cheap, but of very good quality, and easy to install, because they connect via USB like any mouse, which many emulators will detect automatically (like MAME).

                There are others spinners on the market, but I don't know those, because quality was more important for me than the price. You could watch some review videos to get an idea what to look out for in a spinner.

                  Do you use it under RetroPie? Could you link me some useful tutorial?

                    The RetroPie Docs have a very detailed chapter about Spinners, Trackballs, Lightguns, Mice .

                    For the fine tuning of the spinners' sensitivity for each game, I used MAME`s own so-called tab menu that comes up when you press the tab key. See this video about how to do that:

                    Two more useful references about spinners:
