Cant get Amiga working
-
I have made sure the bios are in the right folder - confusion caused by using an old install where I had issues and had the folder on both places, I hadn't updated it for this install when I added the amiga bios files.
Anyway, I have removed Amiberry and reinstalled it and it still doesn't work for me, if I try to load a game from the ES menu I just get a white screen, if I run +start Amiberry I get a screen with a hand and a disk on it!
Would someone please be kind enough to let me know a step by step guide to loading a game as I feel I must be missing something and although I have read as many docs as I can over and over something is clearly not sinking in!

Ok were really stuck here lol
Here is what I have done...
I got the Roms officially from amiga forever and paid for them. I put them and the key into the correct bios folder.
If I try to load a iha game from menu it just goes white screen. If I open up amiberry program and manually select the game and the kick rom the game will load.. But I am setting this up for my dad so this is not really viable.
If I try a adf file I get a black screen.
So has anyone got this working on a pi400? If so what kick-start Roms did you use and also what games worked so we can test to see if we can get it working too?

@chris3535 how do you manually select the game and the kick romwithin amiberry, i seem to be at least one step behind you at the moment!
-
@chubsta scrap that it's not working now
now when I do it, it goes into amigados page with the error unknown command IF -
one other thing to note
https://github.com/midwan/amiberry/wiki/Using-Amiberry-WHDBooter-with-RetroPie-(Step-2)
my paths were not set like this page says they should be, so I changed it to match and still not joy

I can get IHA games to work by doing the following
go into amiberry by selecting +start amiberry
then in quickstart menu go down to WHDload auto conflict and use cursor keys and select file. click on this then navigate to where the roms are and select the one you want.
Then on left hand side go down to roms and main rom file and click on the 3 little dots to the right. Then locate the A1200 3.1 rom file and select thisthen go to start in bottom right hand corner and click on that and game should start
This works but there is no way my dad will do this before playing every game.
oh also the fire button is wrong on joystick the right one fires but not the left one.
Has anyone got this working on a pi400?

@chris3535 I think I have it sorted.
I downloaded a set of bios files which I now have in my BIOS folder, now when I choose a game in the retropie menu it boots straight into that game - I have tried 5 random ones and they all worked.
Not sure what was wrong with my initial kickstart files but I seem ok now...
now all I have to do is work out how to get the bios file pack to you...

@chubsta ermmm you can always email me for a chat?

@chris3535 email incoming

@chubsta you sir are a STAR...thank you so so much
-
@chris3535 I take it it is working ok now then> I know the frustration of banging your head against the wall on something that seems simple so hopefully we have worked it out together!
-
@chubsta yea I can get the games to load but now I'm having controller issues.
I will start a new thread on that thoughThanks again mate

@chris3535 if its not one thing it is another...
