Same game under multiple folders
-
Hi all -
I was wondering if it's possible to have a game appear under multiple folders at the same time. For example, currently I have a "3 Players" folder and a "Beat 'em up" folder - I'd like it if the game would appear under both. (These are both under the arcade folder).
I've searched around and I see a bunch of stuff about symlinks, but that seems more for putting entire folders somewhere else.
Any cool tips?

@jigidyjim symlinks can be to files or folders. https://linuxize.com/post/how-to-create-symbolic-links-in-linux-using-the-ln-command/#creating-symlink-to-a-file

@jigidyjim I do exactly this with EmulationStation's
custom collections
. I have the same game in "Arcade" and "Beat 'Em Ups". I also certain games in "Trackball" and "Arcade". The "Power Rangers" collection has every Super Sentai and Power Rangers game I can find across many systems. They're also in their own system's list.With
custom collections
you can include any game. No symlinks required. -
@iandaemon Custom Collections is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you.
