Gamepad detected but no input
-
I'm using the latest version of Retropie on my Raspberry Pi 4b.
It's running on an USB-Stick.
I just bootet the first time. It says 1 Gamepad detected hold any key to configure controller, but nothing happens if I hold a key. -
What kind of gamepad are you using ? Can you please add more details about your setup, as asked in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first ?

@mitu Nintendo Switch Pro Controller via USB

I personally could never get the switch pro controller to work. I gave up on it and used other controllers.

@rva-818x-laystar Ok, then I can't play RetroPie

I use a switch pro controller with my Pi 3B+ and it works great.
I use it over bluetooth instead of wired so I don't know if that is the problem, but it definitely can work. -
To use a Switch controller wired, you have to install both of its drivers first:

After this, you must press ZL and ZR to pair it everytime. Working fine on a RPi3B+.
