Can't connect to wifi
-
I have just installed RetroPie into a Raspberry Pi. I can't seem to connect to wifi. When I try to connect to wifi I am told that I have not chosen a Wifi country in raspi-config. So I go there and choose the locales from my country (Denmark) or at least I think that's what they are. I choose da_DK ISO-8859-1 I don't understand much of this, and then move on to some menu where I have to choose between something with ISO and some other stuff I don't understand anything about. Then I go back to the Wifi menu but there are no routers on the list. Only Hidden ESSID. If I go back to the Retropi menu and then choose Wifi again, I am again told that I have not chosen a Wifi country (I thought I just did). How do I connect to wifi?

@soren I think the country for WiFi is chosen from a specific menu and not from the Locale menu:

@soren I feel you! I've encountered the same things as you, I'm from Sweden and I was also wondering about that in regard to language. I chose what I think was the US in case things would be in swedish and I think it will make it more difficult to troubleshoot.
I am also new to the Raspberry Pi and one thing I discovered yesterday might help you. Have you installed the Raspbian OS also, so that you have a "desktop" mode? In the top right corner there is an icon where you can select WiFi. There you can select your WiFi just like in any other computer/smartphone. I hope this helps or that you've already sorted it out =) -
I ended up choosing all locales at once (it took some time before it was all done) and that worked. Now I'm connected to wifi.

@soren , that's great that it works! Your post made me think of another post where someone said that they have spent more time installing the Raspberry pi than actually playing on it. It was quite the hassle to make it work but well I guess that's life, what is good usually takes some effort. Again, I am glad it now works for you =)
