You should know that with this new lr-mess, DVC (Digital Video Cartridge) games will likely still not work.

Thank you once again Folly , you have been so nice by helping me and I appreciate it so much

I made the video changes as you suggested and it worked wonderfully , also yes it does save the video setting , so I don't have to change it everytime :)

Also appreciate the advice that the DVC games don't work , no problem at all I'm enjoying so much of the cd-I content and games , plus I'm happy so many games are dedicated to my little one so he is enjoying it just as much ;)

              Hi,

Do you use the normal Carbon theme ?

I have made my own vector based pictures for CD-I for the Carbon theme.

I think you all ready have it.
Just look in the "es-theme-carbon" directory of my "retropie-philips-cdi-tools".
Copy the cdimono1 directory, with sudo rights, to /etc/emulationstation/themes/carbon/
              and you are done.

You can also install other theme's that already have cdimono1 in it.
The Retropie-Setup script of valerino has also more themes in it. Just run the setup and goto "configuration / tools" => "esthemes"

I know that valerino/RetroCRT-240p has CDI in it, but I don't think that is what you are looking for. You can just try them 1 by 1.

I can't help you with all, but I think you have multiple options :

                          • you can install standalone MAME on windows 10
                          • you can install retroarch on windows 10 and install the libretro-cores with them
                          • I have heard of tutorials running RetroPie on windows
                          • you could run a linux os seperately on and usb stick and then install RetroPie

Most simple option is to install MAME, I think.
                          Look here :
                          https://www.mamedev.org/release.html
                          And here :
                          https://www.mamedev.org

                            @folly

i have a question regarding the retoarch option ?

i have retroarch , but when asked if they have a core , everyone told me (in discord) there is no core ... do you know how i can download it on retroarch ?

or do you have anyone you may suggest that to help me with the mame portion ... im just really confused and have no idea when reading upon the mame ?

As far as I know you can download them from within the menu.

And otherwise you can download them and put them in the correct directory.

I am downloading the stable now.
I will check if it has cores in them.

You should also check you core-directory in the menu !
