      I recently bought a copy of the Xenocrisis rom and I'm trying to add some custom box art, marquees, and cart images using the Emulation Station Metadata feature. I put them in a custom folder named "art" under the Genesis roms folder. So I believe the path should be /home/pi/retropie/roms/genesis/art/xenocrisis.png as an example. It doesn't seem to work, so I'm assuming something in my folder paths is incorrect. Can anyone confirm what the correct path would be?

        In Unix, capitalization matters. "RetroPie" is the correct folder name. Try:

        /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/genesis/art/xenocrisis.png

        Also ensure that the filename and extension are also capitalized correctly. Hope that solves it for you.

          @roslof

          That did the trick! Thank you. I guess since I looked at the folder path in windows explorer, and it spelled "RetroPie" in lower case as "retropie" I assumed that would be the correct folder name. Thanks for you help!
