Right now im reinstalling it. Maybe because of the wrong folder in the beginning something's got messed up.

Reinstalling from the right folder didnt help. Still slow like before.

I think that your video-mode-resolution is much too high, as seen from the log.
You should try a video mode with a lower resolution.
Personally I think that should improve the speed.

As said before im using the lowest resolution from supermodel3

I've also tried to put the monitor into 480p mode via raspiconfig. Didn't help.

Your normal resolution is still on "Set mode 1920x1080@60Hz" on default.

You have to set something else here :

Ive tried every resolution there now. its slow like before. 800x600, 720x480, 640x480

They don't make a difference. It didn't speed up at all.

here is the log of 800x600 in video and launch mode, that was even slower than the 384 launch i had before

Well overall we made some progress here.
Too bad the resolution changes didn't help to speed things up.

It seems our PI's run it faster that yours.
Perhaps we can find a solution later.
Not sure what's the problem here.

They don't make a difference. It didn't speed up at all.

For supermodel in Pi 4 2gb, i dont touch that option still, some games run fast like lemans, sega rally 2, daytona, and some games like harley davidson are not playable yet. For stretch thd image you can add -fullscreen -wide-screen -wide-bg before %ROM% in emulators.cfg, you can edit. Just press Start, Quit, Quit emulationstation, the write with a keyboard:

                                sudo nano /opt/retropie/configs/supermodel/emulators.cfg

Changes one or the 3 options from this:

                                Supermodel-mechafatnick-496x384 = "XINIT:pushd /opt/retropie/emulators/supermodel-mechafatnick;./supermodel -res=496,384 %ROM%"

                                To this:

                                Supermodel-mechafatnick-496x384 = "XINIT:pushd /opt/retropie/emulators/supermodel-mechafatnick;./supermodel -res=496,384 -fullscreen -wide-screen -wide-bg %ROM%"

I just put one like example, you can see the other in the tutorial i comment a few comments above.

Save the file with Ctrl+o (vowel o) then Enter and finally Ctrl+x to exit from nano editor.
Then type reboot for reload with the new changes, or just type emulationstation for start the interface.
                                Sorry for my English.

I don't have these errors as you :

xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default
                                  xrandr: cannot find mode 800x600

Perhaps these errors can be an indication of the problem.
Not sure though, I have to think about that.

Thats what im thinking too. But i have no idea how to solve that.

I think also this maybe a problem:

If i get this supermodel running i would like fullscreen but without streching, so i guess -fullscreen would be enough, right?

@folly yes, but my compilation only works in Retropie compiled inside pi os.
When i flash retropie in a pendrive , found problems! Then today i found this post and your script plus adding a folder "supermodel" to art. , and stretch the image without sacrifice performance, all can do the same with -res=x,y but if someone have a 1080p or 4k tv, they will shout that the emulator doesnt work, when actually works really fine. But respecting the mechafatnick stock resolution. I made 20 videos gameplay with software recording. And the games run better than those records 😋.

Well, @4RetroPieTFT does not touch the resolutions and still runs games ok (well the ok-ish games).

What is your experience with the other games he mentioned ?
Do they also run slow ?

Ive just tried scud racer and thanks to your great help i could run the game. I mean it's slow like daytona.... Every 0.100 second is taking a real second. Haha

Ive still not tried other games.
