Pantera Pico PC?
-
Any clue is the Pantera Pico PC would be a good PI alternative?
I'm watching a couple youtubers play Dreamcast on the thing at 60fps, which is why I ask. -
@jiryn I've never heard of this until now and taking a look at the page... wow, that's a pretty nice looking device, I have to admit! An x86 processor is definitely enticing to have (though it doesn't seem to have much better on-board graphics than the Pis, unfortunately.)
The two biggest factors for whether this will be a good alternative IMO are going to be price and support; if this is decently priced and enough people buy them for there to be lots of people to support it, then it just might be worth looking into in the future.

@jiryn i have seen a few of these little computers. i think ETAprime has done a few.
not sure how much better they would be to a Pi.
i can see the ease of getting some other games to run on them. like x86 games being nicebut for me at least it comes to cost. and supprt like @SuperFromND said.
im willing to not have much support if the price is right. but if to high and no support. its a pass -
@ExarKunIv @SuperFromND
It's about $200 for the 8GB model with 512GB Memory.What impressed me was they were playing Dreamcast and Gamecube games pretty damn well on it in the stream previews -
So much so, they ever advertise it as a feature. - https://picopc.net/pages/pantera-pico-pc-specs
Which makes me wonder about games like Carnevil and other arcade titles.
