USB mount no system menu
-
I have a raspberry pi 3B with retropie 4.7. I used the auto-mounting process to mount the rom files, which works, but the system menu that has the ability to change screen resolutions and other functions doesn't appear. I think I probably need to manually copy the system files onto the USB drive based on some previous threads I've read. I think I need a walkthrough on how to do that. I tried running it from the bash scripts but apparently I don't know what Im doing. My backup is to just plug in the SD card and USB into my daughter's pi400 and copy the files, but I would then need to know which directory I need to copy.

@kbrandenberger1 re-install retropiemenu from the core packages.
-
@buzz I burned a fresh SD install this weekend and that didn't fix the issue.

@kbrandenberger1 Did you reinstall the
retropiemenu
package as @buzz mentioned ?
A walkthrough of how to use an external USB for ROMs is posted in the Docs. -
@mitu I spent the last few days searching how to do that and couldn't find it. After using the key words Buzz posted I found the following site on the forum https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/8134/retropie-menu-missing-from-emulationstation/3
I think this will work now.
