      I am using 4.7 retropie image on a pi4, good 3A power supply, MAME2003-Plus and MAME2003 as emulators, and launching arcade games.

      When I setup a shader for the core in RGUI with a game running, using the CRT Pi curvature shader, sometimes when I start games, they crash. Well, it's not a crash per-se, the games run just fine. When the game begins starting, and RetroArch starts showing the toaster notifications about controller port configurations being mapped, a visual glitch occurs. The toaster notifications remain visible and are quickly flashing on/off. The main game screen is frozen, and there is another narrow window overlayed that shows the attract mode in it.

      If I turn off the shader, these problems go completely away.

      Are there known problems with these shaders doing this? It seems to be a problem with Retroarch itself as those popups don't completely disappear.

      I am going to try and attach an image and video of the problem.

      Anyone seen this before?

        @adamtoth known issue. No fix, I believe. Workaround: reset with (default: hotkey enable[select] + B button) until it works.

          Without i be sure if this fixes your problem, try to disable widgets from Retroarch menu or add this line

          menu_enable_widgets = "false"

          on the retroarch.cfg file.

          My English isn't at a good level.

            I'm using RetroArch on Windows and loading ANY shader (or at least the last 3 I'v tried) crashes me to desktop. I'm not sure it's related, but this is the most post I could find relevant to this problem. I'll try on my Lakka machine and see if it's the same...

              @sharkytowers Your issue is not related to this topic.
              For RetroArch Windows issues you'd better ask in the libretro forums - forums.libretro.com, which seem to be down at the moment - or on their Reddit forum over at reddit.com/r/retroarch.
