How to remove "press button to configure" on game launch

I would like to remove the "press button to configure" prompt when launching games from RetroPie but cannot find where that configuration is at.
Can someone point me to the right doc or how to?
I've had drunk friends accidentally change settings in that menu because they didn't know what they were doing.

@vantseattle you can disable the launch menu -- or just the launch menu joystick control, so it's still accessible but only with a keyboard -- from the Run Command Configuration in the RetroPie menu of the system carousel.
