I've searched forums, the github repo, docs cannot find a solution.. so I figured I'd ask here.

The Atari 2600 ROM for Fatal Run (which as far as I can tell is a PAL-only ROM) appears in black and white during gameplay with the lr-stella emulator. Interestingly this is not a problem with Stella because you can toggle a PAL color loss feature in the emulator.

      https://atariage.com/forums/topic/192214-pal-color-loss-in-stella-emulator/

I don't have a problem with using Stella.. except that it doesn't appear to be easy to get stella to respect the "hot key" to exit emulation (If I'm wrong please tell me).

Is there some way to include a configuration option for lr-stella to manage the color loss problem with PAL roms?

      Thanks.

@tmo1138 there's a Fatal Run (USA) at the place where I get my roms.

Edit: weird, because Wikipedia does say it was only released in Europe and lists release dates (both just say "1990") for EU and UK releases.

I just tried them though and the USA rom does have color, while the Europe one goes to b&w after the title screen (which is still colored, somehow), so they are definitely different.

Also I have integer scaling on @ 720p -- the Europe rom was smaller on my screen than the USA (they look the same size when I turn integer scaling off & let them go full screen) so I guess it's scaling 3x vs 4x at 192 vs 160 pix high or something like that.

Yep.. that's why I didn't look for a USA version of the ROM.. I didn't think one existed..

            Regardless.. thank you.
