lr-ppsspp crashes on hotkey reset

lr-ppsspp v1.12.3
RetroArch v1.10.0I only have two PSP games on my system but this happens reliably on both. When I reset with hotkey + B, it crashes back to EmulationStation. Further, while I may then continue to use the keyboard to navigate ES, once I exit to console it becomes mostly unresponsive. Nothing I type appears on-screen. Enter doesn't do anything. If I hit Tab it acts like I've entered a garbage command and gives error messages. My
history
looks like this, after:1990 ???? 1991 ? 1992 ?%? 1993 ?&?? 1994 ???88888la 1995 la 1996 &??88888888la 1997 la 1998 history 1999 reboot 2000 history
I can partly recover with Alt + SysRq + R; I get "Keyboard mode set to system default" and it will respond to commands again, however the commands themselves still don't appear on-screen, until I relog or reboot.
Updated my script module to use the latest "master" git build (currently
28532fe
) and it seems mostly fixed; I was still able to crash one of the games on purpose by resetting multiple times in succession, but under normal use, and even repeated resets in the other game, it seems to be working. Does this warrant a bump? I do see the comment on switch to v1.12.3 about sticking to a stable release instead of tracking themaster
branch. Maybe a bump to current version if the black screen mentioned there, has been fixed? -

No, the black-screen issue is not yet fixed and I don't think this issue would need a version bump. Is there a similar issue reported for PPSSPP ?

I didn't see one, but the repo is pretty active and there's a lot to sift through so it's possible I may have missed something.
The closest one I found was this one, also for the libretro core; I'm not sure if it's the same issue since I didn't test any of those other actions and I'm not sure if Sync Audio is enabled or not -- I can test some more next week.
