I have seen that some of the consoles like the gba https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Game-Boy-Advance/ says that some of the BIOS are optional. Does it work better with a BIOS or does it make no difference?

@ALVIN_GHOST It can help some games run better, but from my experience it doesn't make that much of a difference. However, having an official BIOS will allow you to display the official GBA launching screen when you start up a game, if you care about that sort of thing.

@G30FF okay. I just used the gba as an example, so if it says optional it just means that i dont need to have it for most of the games?

@ALVIN_GHOST If it says optional then yeah, it's not needed. In some cases it can improve compatibility, like for Dreamcast or PS1.
