Hello all. I'm a very new user to Linux; I picked it up to build an emulator box out of an old PC. I've gotten to everything else to work but everytime I go to install the Dolphin emulator in RetroPie I get a "cannon build emulator" message at 100%. I've looked through the logs with my limited knowledge and it seems the relevant part is

      [100%] Linking CXX executable ../../../Binaries/dolphin-emu
Error copying directory from "/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/cmake/Qt5/../../../plugins/platforms" to "/home/steve/RetroPie-Setup/tmp/build/dolphin/build/Binaries/platforms".
      make[2]: *** [Source/Core/DolphinQt/CMakeFiles/dolphin-emu.dir/build.make:2743: Binaries/dolphin-emu] Error 1
      make[2]: *** Deleting file 'Binaries/dolphin-emu'
      make[1]: *** [CMakeFiles/Makefile2:2066: Source/Core/DolphinQt/CMakeFiles/dolphin-emu.dir/all] Error 2
      make: *** [Makefile:156: all] Error 2
Could not successfully build dolphin - Gamecube/Wii emulator Dolphin (/home/steve/RetroPie-Setup/tmp/build/dolphin/build/Binaries/dolphin-emu not found).
      /home/steve/RetroPie-Setup

Any ideas or should I just uninstall this whole thing and go back to windows? lol Thanks all!

I should note that I'm running the latest Ubuntu and have tried installing Dolphin both before and after running the updates in the retropie setup script on fresh installs each time.

I see the binaries are built, but the post-build step of copying some Qt5 configs fails. Stupid question, but do you have enough free space on the disk / RetroPie-Setup folder ?

I'll have to install the 22.04 release, can't reproduce the issue with 20.04 or the current Debian (bookworm).

@mitu Is there a way I can roll back Ubuntu? I'm happy to do that to get it working

I think this is a Dolphin build issue, can you try again the installation ?

@mitu I tried it a couple of times before finally just giving up; uninstalled Linux and retropie and went with windows running Launchbox which started working immediately. Thanks for trying to help just wasn’t for me I suppose.
