Pi4 + XBox One Wireless - Can't Quit Games
-
Hello,
Just installed a fresh copy of the latest RetroPie for Pi4 via the Raspberry Pi Imager app, had a keyboard connected and bumbled my way around to attempt to get the XBox One Wireless controller paired etc.
I had tried the same first on a Pi3 B+ and it all worked flawless, however I was after a few more horse power, so put it on my Pi4, and stumpled into an issue.
When I was trying to connect the bluetooth to the controller, I would get an error, same as what is seen here:
https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/27183/xbox-one-bluetooth-controller-pairing-issueSo what I did is found another post suggesting to install XPadNeo. So I did that following its guide, and this seemed to work, I configured the Input Device, set all the buttons up as per guides I found, and all seemed OK...
However, I cannot quit any games. I am mainly trying NES, N64 and PS1 games. None of them will bring up the menu to exist, when you push the middle button and X. I have tried all sorts of combinations, and Sel + Start, but nothing works - yet it works totally fine on the Pi3 build I did.
Is this an issue with XPadNeo, or have I done something wrong?
Its weird as XPadNeo is not needed for the Pi3, I got no error like I did with the Pi4, and I can exit games with the middle button and X.any suggestions?

Somewhat solved.
I went back into Bluetooth and removed the XBox controller from the paired listing, and then added it back in the usual way, and this time got no error (maybe due to the XPadNeo being installed ?), and then did the Input configuration again, and now the Middle Button + X brings up the menu to quit the games etc, like the Pi3B+ did.Its super weird as I re-did the Input configuration 3 times and that did not solve it, before I tried removing the controller completely and adding it in again.
There certainly seems to be some sort of issue here, but I am unsure what it is exactly.
