Pi Model or other hardware: 4B+
Power Supply used: Ugreen 18W (with DeskPi Case)
RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): N/A
Built From: RetroPie installed on RaspiOs Debian 10 32bit
USB Devices connected: Bloody V7, HP PR1101U
      Controller used: Logitech F710
      Error messages received: N/A
Verbose log (if relevant): THE SITE DOES NOT ALLOW TO DOWNLOAD THE LOG
      runcommand
run as home user (failed) - log not from retropie
run as root (successful) - log not from retropie
      Guide used: RETROPIE-SETUP SCRIPT
      File: <?>
      Emulator: eduke32 (retropie-ports)
      Attachment of config files: <?>
      How to replicate the problem:

Hello. I am using one of the old builds of eduke32 on raspberry pi from pi-kiss - link to script and script from RetroPie. Recently discovered that the game stops running from the home user. Hangs on startup. But she works as root. Can anyone suggest what might be broken? I use RaspiOS (Debian 10 32bit armhf), very rarely anything changes in the system and I don't understand how something could break.

Tried installing from retropie bin/source - same thing. Therefore, I am writing here.
The game does not give an error, it just "freezes" and loads the processor core at 100%.

Screenshot from the desktop as nothing is displayed from RetroPie at all.

Hello. I am using one of the old builds of eduke32 on raspberry pi from pi-kiss [..] I use RaspiOS (Debian 10 32bit armhf) [..]

Then why are you posting here, instead on the PiKiss/Eduke32 support forum(s) ? You're not using RetroPie nor the binary distributed by RetroPie, so there's nothing in your eduke32 installation that's under the RetroPie project's control.

@mitu I wrote that I use RetroPie. I use it along with the RaspiOS l desktop. The installed version from Retropie stopped running. The pi-kiss version shows a bug.

@Rak4ta then please add the info requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first and the log file from the RetroPie version - you'll find in /dev/shm/runcommand.log.

I contacted the Discord channel eduke32 - it turned out that due to a possible error, the game reacted this way to /home/pi/.steam/steam/steamapps/libraryfolders.vdf. No file no problem.

<this looks like it's probably a bug in our code, I've downloaded the file and looked at it and since the apps section etc are just empty I bet we're stuck spinning in some while loop looking for a token that doesn't exist w/o taking the fact that it might not even exist at all into account>
@mitu thank you for responding, but my answer was found. Can you close the topic?
