Folder Structure on USB not created
-
Hello,
I need your support. I have downloaded Retropie 3 version 4.8 . I have installed it on a mini SD and plugged to the Raspberry 3 and switched it on. Everything works well. Now I want to add Roms to the system. I have format an 4GB USB to FAT32, created a "retropie" folder on the USB and plugged into the Raspberry. After a while, the USB stick has no activity light as mentioned in the installation guideline. I switched the stick back to my computer, but no files where created on it. In Retropie Set up / Configuration/Tools I have "Enable USB ROM Service". I have also connected the Raspberry to Wifi. Everything works, only these files on USB stick are not created. I hope you can support this topic. Thanks a lot -
Hi
You have to create a
retropie-mount
folder not just retropie. -
Hi, I tried that but no this is unfortunately also not working. And in all installation guidelines only "retropie" is mentioned as USB folder... Do you have any other clue as to what could be wrong? Thank you very much

@Kaeptn
Sorry I can’t help really but I can confirm that that all you should need to do is make a retropie folder. That’s what I did as recently as a few months ago and it worked fine. Only help I could offer is that is it spelled correctly, no caps, and is in the root of the usb drive? -
@windg retropie folder is for transfering files (they will be copied from the & back to the corresponding folder(s) on the OS partition), whereas the retropie-mount folder actually is for running the files from the external media
