Can I edit something so a simple button won't remove a game from FAVORITES?

Currently I just have to hit the leftmost button on the 4 button xbox controller to add or remove a game to favorites. Is there a way I can edit something so that MORE IS NEEDED TO PRESS- such as 2 odd buttons at once or something like this to remove (not add) a game to favorites? If this changes pertains to both adding and removing, so be it. It's just way too easy for my little dudes (or me.lol) to remove a favorite with a single miss press of one button.

There's an option for that - it adds an extra confirmation.

@mitu Where would I find this? Is it where the metadata is and the name change and scraper?

@duglor it is in the menu with the entries Scraper, Sound Settings, UI Settings, aso,

Navigate into Game Collection Settings from that menu, there should be an option reading Press (Y) twice to remove from favs./coll., enable it and it should safe you from accidentally removing from favorites. (Y) denotes the button to press (in your case the leftmost button on the 4-button area), not the keyboard key.

@Lolonois Running ES 2.9.6RP and not seeing Press (Y) twice to remove from favs./coll. in the interface. Maybe that's available in a different version?

@Retro-Arcade-Fan I hit start and select keys in emulstionstation menu and it was an option in the list after I selected custom or something. I don’t recall and am not near my home. I’ll try to find it and post as soon as is possible.

Yes it is an option there. a box to check off that asks if you would like to have confirmation before deletion.

Just go in there and select it.

@duglor I have a feeling we're talking about two different areas of ES. These are the options I have for "Game Collection Settings":

It's just as easy easier to run ES in Kids or Kiosk mode. Going back and forth between GUI modes is quick and easy.

FWIW it is in ES from version 2.10.0 onwards.

@Lolonois Damn. That's a nice feature to have. The MAIN reason I haven't updated past my current version is I like seeing the total number of systems on boot up. The updated version had the progress bar instead. And it seemed to boot slower. Unless that's changed?

@mitu It's a shame there isn't an option somewhere to change that display from a progress bar to the actual count. I can't be the only one who prefers the count.

I dont care about system counter or progressing bar. There are other issues in this world which are worse IMO...
