      @RetroFloppy08 Hi, sorry if this has already been mentioned, but have you considered /etc/fstab ?

        Taking a look, it seems like the DVD drive is automatically mounted, at least in Pixel Desktop mode. Can someone point me toward a script that launches the given game?

        Before you think about launching the game, you'd need to think about a script that identifies what system the game is for that you've put in the drive.

          @kiro I actually have not. I'll check as soon as I can.
          @Crush The custom category already semi-does this.

            @Crush I tested it with a dummy folder, with a Genesis ROM. It works great. There's no script for detection yet, but if you could point me towards a good command for it (right now, my best bet is mount) that would be awesome.

              @kiro Checking now, is it a file or folder?

                    @RetroFloppy08 it's a file, where you tell the operating system what to mount at boot, it should automatically mount anything that is in there as lon as the syntax is correct.

                      @kiro Did a little fiddling with it, and now it reads from /dev/sd0 instead of the UUID. It's done. After 2 years, I did it.

                        Little update for the very little people who still look at this thread;

                        I wrote a .sh file that remounts the DVD after a swap, so you don't have to reboot the entire system. You do, however, need to restart EmulationStation.

                          @RetroFloppy08 Another update: Added two more lines to the script so EmulationStation reboots itself.
