Easy version of Dragon's Lair?
-
Hey everyone.
I've got Dragon's Lair running on Daphne and can never see the prompts to move. To compare, in Space Ace I can clearly see the blinking spots when it's ready to choose an action. The game runs fine, just can't see a time to choose an action.
Is it a setting in Dragon's Lair? Is it a bad rom? Should I be playing Dragon's Lair on a different emulator?
I appreciate the suggestions. Thank you.

Have you tried running it with Hypseus ?

@mitu It does change the screen slightly. It shows the score at the top of the screen, but gameplay is the same. It's interesting because Dragon's Lair II actually says the words for what to do. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I thought those "indicators" where part of the video sequence and not overlays... At least I find no clues/dip switch settings that may hint towards overlays over at the dragon's lair project, and this old thread How to turn ON Dragons Lair "Move Hints" (Daphne)? at the ArcadeControl Forum seem to agree with my memories.

They defintiley are. I have a VHS tape I made back in 1989 of my buddy's original laser disc and all indicators are visible.

@Ashpool Seems to be the case with DL1. DL2 and Space Ace are much more player friendly. Thanks all for the input!
