@fscii said in lr-blueMSX failing to run ColecoVision ROMS:

      /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/Databases
      /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/Machines/COL - ColecoVision

The BIOS folder above is ignored by RetroArch, since you've used "Reset Configuration" from the menu and thus this folder was unset and it cannot find the necessary BIOS files:

[WARN] SYSTEM DIR is empty, assume CONTENT DIR /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/coleco/Donkey Kong (USA, Europe).zip
      [INFO] [Environ]: SYSTEM_DIRECTORY: "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/coleco/".

@mitu I don't recall doing a "Reset Configuration" unless installing and uninstalling CoolCV somehow did this? I hadn't gone into Retroarch cfg just the Retropie setup script. I'd like to understand what I did to cause this to avoid it in the future.

How do I fix this since uninstall/reinstall lr-blueMSX doesn't fix it?

Whatever you modified, you're not running with the default RetroArch configuration that ships with RetroPie. Try removing/renaming /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg and re-installing (without starting any game) the retroarch package.

@mitu I forgot to mention that initially I hadn't installed an emulator by mistake and Retropie, on game launch, suggested lr-fbneo-cv and I went with it but it didn't work. Then installed CoolCV and uninstalled then lr-blueMSX.

So my retroarch.cfg got bloated out to 101kb.

            I just solved it by

            1. uninstall lr-blueMSX
            2. deleting all files from /opt/retropie/configs/coleco
            3. reinstalling lr-blueMSX
            4. replacing the retroarch.cfg.rp-dist file

Launched ROMs now work. Thank you!
