Custom game collections - Carbon 2021 theme - help needed
-
Good afternoon all,
I have created a couple of custom game collections in the default Carbon 2021 theme, example;
\opt\retropie\configs\all\emulationstation\collections\custom-atari.cfg
\opt\retropie\configs\all\emulationstation\collections\custom-capcom.cfg
etcwith a few roms, example;
/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/arcade/bzone.zip
/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/arcade/vindctr2.zip
/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/arcade/toobin.zip
etcIn EmulationStation, I have unchecked "Group Unthemed Custom Collections" so that Atari, Capcom appear on the main carousel along with Sega Mega Drive, SNES etc, which is exactly what I want. The list of games in each collection appear as per the cfg files too, so happy days there also.
The problem I am having is that Atari, Capcom etc are not showing the logo or controller (Carbon 2021 displays two images per system, as I am sure you're aware), despite adding custom-atari.svg, custom-capcom.svg (logo and controller), to the "art/systems" and "art/controllers" folder.
I have also downloaded Art-Book-4:3 as I know that has custom game collection logos by default, but that theme looks very different to Carbon 2021 as far as the folder structure are concerned, and I genuinely can't see what I have missed. There are 2 theme.xmls in Carbon 2021 (\carbon-2021\theme.xml and \carbon-2021\retropie\theme.xml) and after looking through each, I can't see that anything needs to be changed, but happy for direction.
Any help would be amazing.
I am using the Carbon 2021 theme because it's the one I find eaiser to read and navigate through on my 4:3 17inch CRT through composite.
Cheers!

The
custom-
prefix is used just for the configuration file, not for the related artwork. Rename the files accordingly (i.e.atari
,capcom
) and check again. -
