@jacobfk20 Well, good job. You single handedly screwed up my theme. The right side bar no longer exists, grid view is back to how it was when you first released this mod. And what ever you did to ninepatch gives be the basic white theme for ES

@lilbud I just updated to your latest theme and you have a <color> property in a rating element. ES, vanilla or this mod, does not support <color> in a rating element. Remove that and it'll work just fine.

@jacobfk20 But what about ninepatch? I get a wall of text on the console about ninepatch. Does the gamelist have a right sidebar with the metadata?

@jacobfk20 do you have the last version in your drive. My theme I made doesn't work at all. :(

Did you get rid of the small, normal, big grid sizes? I was using the big size to change the number of tiles.

Also I get the color error for the ninepatch elements, but I can't see anything in the themes anyways.

@pompitousofseth I do have older versions on the drive but I think only I can access them. I didn't remove small, big, or large. Also, this is kinda weird but in order to have backwards comparability with vanilla ES use image instead of ninepatch if you use the <color> property. Can you send me your theme so I can see what is happening?

@lilbud I didn't touch any theme options for Grid Tiles so I don't know why that's happening. I'll get it ironed out.
Here is what your theme looks like for me after removing the <color> on rating:

@jacobfk20 Thank you for the latest version of your ES grid view binary. I have tested it with systems with portrait (Atart 2600, NES) and landscape (SNES) box art. The aspect ratio is faithfully maintained.

I am having problems with the Arcade system. If I leave it for a minute or so, ES quits to the console with Floating Point Exception error. I can't type at the command line so I have reboot via SSH.

For the Arcade system, I am using wheel art images which are 400 pixels wide (though three are not). The heights do vary, though, from 31 pixels to 175. Could these variations be causing the issue?

es_log.txt has the line lvl1: OptionListComponent too narrow!. Could this be relevant?

I did not have any of these issues with the last binary you built last week.

@dudleydes I don't know how, but I may have uploaded the wrong version. Did you get the normal RPi download or the x86? Do you have a "SYSTEM" option in the main menu? This is a build from 2 months ago... I'm going to re-upload both anyway to make sure they're the newest build.

IF YOU DOWNLOADED THE LATEST UPDATE BEFORE THIS COMMENT WAS POSTED
You have a modified version of the original mod that I posted 2 months ago.
I have re-uploaded the update with the actual build this time.

Here is a link to my drive again.

You can confirm that you DO NOT have the old build by checking the MAIN MENU.
You should not have a "SYSTEM" menu within.

Sorry for this huge mistake.. :/

@jacobfk20 this is why I just build directly from your branch with my gridview module ;) I still need to test out your latest changes, will when I can find the time. Keep up the good work

@jacobfk20 Thanks for swift fix. I can confirm that the box art scaling is working fine and there are no issues with the arcade system.

How long does it take build from source?

@spannernick1 If you mean themes, then yes. The Material theme is one of the only to support grid view. But so far I've only done the US system variants.

@dudleydes It depends. Small changes only take thirty seconds or so to recompile. Big changes or first time compiling can take twenty minutes.

@lilbud Just as I was about to hit submit you beat me to the answer lol.

@jacobfk20 I used the newest on and it works with the themes. Two things that I've found so far. Sometimes after loading a system with lots of games the menus become transparent and can't be read, and when this happened I loaded a random game and es came back completely white. Second some systems the titles go more than one line, others cut of with ellipses.

@pompitousofseth How many games does the system have that causes this problem?

@jacobfk20 it was between 10-20. I was also going in-between systems really quickly.

@pompitousofseth I cannot get the same problem you're having... Even jumping in/out of a system with 700 roms it still doesn't do what you're experiencing. What Pi are you using? Whats your GPU Memory split at? What theme are you using? Game Titles will get cut off into ellipses if they're too big to fit inside the tile. I will add a scroll option but that must be adding into ES's core components, so it'll have to happen slightly later.

@lilbud I will be changing <ninepatch> to <image> for gridtile_background and gridtile_background_selected in the next update. Just thought I would let you know. The reason is for backwards compatibility with vanilla ES. Just simply replace with image instead. You can actually do that now because I'm sure your theme is most likely broken on vanilla ES right now. Sorry :/

@jacobfk20 The split was at 256, I upped it to 512. Hopefully that will help. I am running a Pi 3, using a modified version of lilbud's material with just vertcal logos and the grid. I was used to the titles being cut off but some of them are showing multiple lines. Atari2600, Genesis, NES, and PSX all show multiple lines. Game gear, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, MAME, N64, PC, Ports, RetroPie, SNES, and Virtual Boy all are cut off.
