ES Custom SVG Logo pack (includes specific Mame logos)
-
This is my logo for Mega CD,I was sick of it saying Sega CD..;) can you make it into svg for me,I couldn't figure it out..?? if anyone wants to use it with ES they can..:)
Just right click and save as,its a png,It has a transparent background.
-
@spannernick1 Thanks, It's a awesome logo :D
-
@Brigane Yes with mc ( Midnight Commander) you Can easily copy, move, rename & delete files. Did you edit the es_systems file? You can do that also with mc. Just try it, interface is self explanatory.
-
@spannernick1 I can try to vectorize it and create a svg file. Can you provide a higher resolution original image of that logo ?
Please also note that ES does not support Shadows and gradients, so your logo in svg will look slightly different. -
@UDb23 I haven't sorry but I could make one in photoshop,If the logo don't look as good then leave it,but thanks. Its looks ok in ES anyway as a png.
-
@spannernick1 Found it thru web search. Will create svg over the weekend and share. Then you can decide which one you like more ;-)

One thing I really like to do with retropie is breakup the arcade roms into Cps1 s2 then have a cave catorgory and possible a vertical category. Rather switch sytem that scroll a mish mash list since Neogeo has broken out of mames section.....Is that possible?
-
@twd there's a nice theme making tutorial on the wiki.
-
@UDb23 Thanks,I do have a copy of Mega CD 2 logo as well if anyone wants that to,I made it when I was using my Mega CD 2 with mega Drive case..?
Here it is anyway...:)
-
Here is the pal logo for the Sega 32x I made,..;)
-
@spannernick1 Here are the Sega SVG logos I just made:
Custom Logo pack just updated to include these.
For those other mega-cd logos with color gradients I did some tests. As expected result in svg is not as good as original bitmap pngs, due to ES lacking gradient support for svg. Therefore it makes no sense to make svg versions of those logos.

@UDb23 Hey! I joined just to tell you how much I love these logos (especially the different arcade ones), but I'm having a problem downloading them..
Seems the link that you uploaded them to on Mega is corrupt or not the full file. It's only about 800kb or so on download and only the readme unzips.
Am I doing something wrong? or is there someplace else I can get these logos?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!
-
@RockmanKB File is 819KB (svg files are vectors and therefore small in KB size).
Just checked link (with Chrome on Mac) it works correctly. When you unzip the file you'll get readme, global png image and a set of subfolders that contain the svg logos. What browser are you using? Do you get any error message? -
On windows, using chrome.
When I try to unzip I get an error that says:
"Central and local directory mismatch for file "ES custom logos.png" (crc - 32 - local:49B571AC hex central: 4F41149 hex).
-
@RockmanKB
What program as you using to unzip that file?I'd recommend using PeaZip, which is an open source free alternative to WinZip & WinRAR.
http://www.peazip.org/ -
@backstander Using winzip (which gives me the above error) and winrar (which just says it's corrupt).
Download PeaZip now, let you know how it goes! Thanks for the tip, either way!
EDIT: Still didn't work, but it extracted more of the folders than winzip or rar did.
The thing is it still gets an error at the end and most of the folders have svgs in them that don't open. (Though some of them, namely: advmame, fba, lr-mame, mame4all, psx, sega cd, and vic20, all have svg files that work)
-
@RockmanKB It seems file gets corrupt during your download. Can you try again downloading again from Mega selecting the "browser" Mega download option . I'd suggest you try also with IExplorer.
-
@UDb23 through the browser is the only way I ever choose to download the files (maybe I should try the other way?) .. also downloading at work now after I had tried downloading it at home on a totally different computer last night =/.
Don't know what's causing this problem, though I've heard that sometimes zip files made on Macs have problems opening properly on Windows OS.
If you actually made the Zip on a Windows machine then I am completely stumped.
Just a little bummed because ALL the other folders seem to be OK except the Arcade one, which is what I really need/want lol.
Thanks anyways guys, I appreciate the help!
-
@RockmanKB It was made in windows!
No clue why you have this problem.
Created a temporary download on a different storage service for you: try here -
@UDb23 Thanks for your effort, but again it didn't work.
At the bottom of the error log it just says this:
"Severe Error: Local and central CRC values don't match."
Again, only seems to effect the Arcade and 32X folders.
Anybody else who may happen upon this thread and uses Windows/a PC, if you've had the same problem, maybe you might have a solution?
