dragonrise .inc usb joystick not configured

Hey, I know I'm not the first person to do a post about this problem, but despite all the posts around the internet, I didn't find a solution. So basically I bought these arcade controllers, and connected one of the two to my pc. It's recognized in Emulation station but whenever I start a game (SNES game, PS1 game, etc.), it says "dragonrise .inc usb joystick not configured" and the buttons and the joystick doesn't work, even though I configured them and tried changing their ID in the config files, or any other method I have seen. Please help me, this is so boring I can't play :/

Post some details about your setup, as asked in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
Get a verbose log from running an emulator and then post the resulting log file on pastebin.com. Also post your joystick configuration profile here in the topic, surrounded by code tags (
