MAME Xbox controller Home button support

I found out that xbox type controllers do not have support for the home button in MAME, FBA, or Retroarch. Does anyone have any ideas of how to work around this if I need the home key to work? Would a custom cfg work? Is there anyone working on this, or can it somehow be fixed within retropie? Thanks. Have a blessed day.

If the button is recognized by EmulationStation, then it should work in any Libretro cores - I think you're confusing the 'home key' (keyboard) with 'home button' (joypad).
Please add more info about your setup, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first - including the exact controller type and model you're using.
