hello there, some computer based games require using number key pads and the Raspberry Pi 400's built-in keyboard doesn't have one of those. Besides plugging in an external keyboard (that is a bit of a clunky solution) anyone here know any other good ways to work around this?

@Texemosis I don't have a pi 400 but have noticed this issue with my laptop keyboard sometimes. Especially msx where the keypad is things like shooting (Snatcher) or other aspects that require the number pad layout.

It might be overkill but guess you could get a USB keypad?

@retropieuser555 it should be good as long as it's compatible. I've been also thinking of the Super Famicom NT Banking controller but I don't know for sure if it will recognize those extra keypad buttons. I couldn't even get it to recognize that extra middle button on the Xbox Series controller.

I thought that pressing NumLock activates the secondary NumLock keys ?

            From: https://datasheets.raspberrypi.com/keyboard-mouse/getting-started-with-keyboard-and-mouse.pdf

Num Lock – Allows use of the red number keys on the letter keys,
effectively creating a numeric keypad. This mode is enabled and
disabled by pressing the Num Lock key.

@mitu ah okay, so there's an improvised numberpad on there. A bit of a slanty one but that will do.
