@retro777 said in Pi5 and lr-citra can't install how do i fix or install?:

        I can't install lr-citra on source build.

RetroPie doesn't include a lr-citra package - are you sure you're not using a fork of RetroPie including it ? Also, support for Pi5 is still in beta, so not everything works - errors are expected.

RetroPie-Extra repo has the lr-citra, but no scripts are ready/tested for Bookworm and RPi5.

My English isn't at a good level.

@windg It’s actually a fork of the RetroPie-Extra script that contains the lr-citra. This is the git repo fork: https://github.com/Exarkuniv/Ares-Nano-Extras

I am having the same issue here tho.

@retro777 that repo is for the Jetson nano. And in the current state it will not work since it's not set up for Retropie. So the file names are all wrong.

And that board is running a different OS. So that why there is a error.

@retro777 what repo are you trying, are you using the one for the Nano or Retropie

they are close, but the file layout is different.
the one i have for retropie does have lr-citra, but its marked for x86. if you want to try that then you have to replace "!all 64bit" from the rp_module_flags= with just " "

I dont have a pi5 so thats all i can help with. i dont know what drivers may or may not be needed. and i did not bother with the pi4 since it was not powerful enough.

maybe one they get a bookworm release i might revisit it for shits and giggles

@ExarKunIv I appreciate the response. I was using the RetroPie repo and not the Nano repo. When I get the chance, I will try to respond with my results.

@AwesomeKingClem I checked your pastebin. It is odd that it just ends but doesn't give any errors to why.

Not impossible to figure out more. It will just take digging. At this moment I don't have a pi5 (I'm working on getting one soonish I hope)
Till then I'm not going to be much help

Trying it on a pi4 with bookworm might help. Or not. Since they are different chips. It could just lead to more errors and not help your issue.

Not saying I'm not going to not try that. Just might not get the results we want. That's all

@AwesomeKingClem there was a additional command line that can be inserted into the script that could provide that info.

I just need to remember it now. Lol
Once I remember/find it again. I can tell you where to put it in the script and go from there

                                        @AwesomeKingClem ok.

                                        I'm hoping this works
I don't have my pi in front of me so I'm kinda guessing here from memory

You'll have to edit the script

You need to replace make with make > output.txt 2> errors.txt

When you run the script again and it fails it should make a txt file called errors and in that should be more detailed error log.

The txt file will be in Retropie setup/tmp/build/lr-citra (or something like that.)

                                        I hope.

Come Monday once I have my pi in front again. I'll work on getting a 64bit load going to see if that will be helpful also.
