No Sound with Amiberry (HDMI)
-
@10vorne Try to manually edit the config file:
/opt/retropie/configs/amiga/amiberry/conf/amiberry.conf
default_soundcard=1
-
Unfortunately that didn't help. I also tried out different games, both whdload and adf files. Anyone else have an idea what I could test?
-
Please add some info about your system, as asked in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. Include the version of RetroPie and Amiberry you have installed.
-
Below is the most important information, if more is needed, I'll look for it too:
Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Rev 1.2
Amiberry v 5.6.6
Retropie 4.8.6
After the tip with the amiberry.conf didn't help, I used the headphone jack output for Amiberry. Then I had sound, regardless of whether I had set 0 or 1 for the default sound card. The other emulators all ran a sound signal via HDMI.

Was an issue for me originally. Try this:
- Run the +Amiberry script (or Launch game and hit F12 to view options)
- Select Sound (left column)
- At the very top, there's a pulldown. Tap it to change options
This was a problem for me because it defaulted to my DualShock 4 Controller. For you, might be because the wrong hdmi port is selected.
Change it, select "Configurations", save it, relaunch it and hopefully the issue will be solved.

It was an option. You can just run the Amiberry script.
-
@roslof Just so we understand each other properly. I wasn't aware that you have options when you start the Amiberry+ script. But when I do that, all I get is a screen with the large floppy disk going into the drive. Is there another way to get into these options other than F12? Otherwise I'll have to look into getting another keyboard.

@10vorne I think the RetroArch hotkey shortcut for the quick menu (Hotkey Enable + X) might work. You can also modify the key that opens up the menu (from the default of F12) in
amiberry.conf

@mitu Hotkey + X worked, changed Sound to HDMI, perfect. Thank you both!
