Anyone who knows Sega CD emulator and why it might not work?
-
and the output from
ls -l ~/RetroPie/roms/segacd cat ~/"RetroPie/roms/segacd/NAMEOFCUEFILE"
-
sorry but this is a step higher than i know of..
i dont know how to use / or enter the runcommand menu,
well i can enter it before the game tries to start, but i cant do anything else? -
I linked to how to use the runcommand menu earlier.
I suspect the problem is still the bin/cue naming mismatch but I cannot advise without seeing how you changed it.
-
@BuZz yes i saw the link
but this i not understand:
Launch with verbose logging. Then from an ssh connection post the output of
cat /dev/shm/runcommand.log (use a site like pastebin.com for the log)
-
So, enter the runcommand menu when launching the game. Choose the option in the menu to Launch with verbose logging then when it returns to the emulation station menu, ssh in to the system and run the commands I have given (making sure you substitute the cue file name)
-
ssh in to the system.. is that like dos?
-
well ive entered the run command menu, and run the game with verbose logging..
its from this point im not sure where to go next..
-
could i use Putty to ssh in to the Rpi?
ive checked the ip.. but what about login/password?
-
im in the Rpi now :)

Please try and follow my instructions carefully. I asked you to put the log on an external site like pastebin.com - on the forum is also fine, but you need to format it in a code block - http://commonmark.org/help/ - I will format your post for you.
You did not type the ls command as I instructed - linux filesytems are case sensitive.
RetroPie
is not the same asretropie
.From the log it looks like you have not installed the BIOS correctly.
-
hmm.. using pastbin.. i dont have enough priviligies to past the file here in the forum?
-
As I wrote above
on the forum is also fine, but you need to format it in a code block - http://commonmark.org/help/ - I will format your post for you.
-
sorry but i cant do other than post this right here:
pi@retropie:~ $ ls -1 ~/RetroPie/roms/segacd 32X_G_BIOS.BIN 32X_M_BIOS.BIN 32X_S_BIOS.BIN Android Assault.bin Android Assault.cue Dragons Lair.bin Dragons Lair.cue Earthworm Jim - Special Edition.bin Earthworm Jim - Special Edition.cue eu_mcd1_9210.bin Final Fight.bin Final Fight.cue Genesis_OS_ROM.bin jp_mcd1_9112.bin Mickey Mania.bin Mickey Mania.cue Popful Mail.bin Popful Mail.cue Robo Aleste.bin Robo Aleste.cue Sol-Feace.bin Sol-Feace.cue Sonic.bin Sonic CD Sonic.cue Terminator (Sega CD) (U).bin Terminator (Sega CD) (U).cue The Timeless Adventure of Mickey Mouse.bin us_scd1_9210.bin
-
The problem is the BIOS file anyway. You have the wrong bios / have installed it in the wrong location or the filename is wrong
Please check https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Sega-CD noting the filenames and remembering that the names are CASE SENSITIVE.
-
Please actually read http://commonmark.org/help/ and use a code block as detailed if posting to the forum. if you are unable to use markdown, use an external site like pastebin.com or http://paste.ubuntu.com/
-
Do i need all three of each BIOS /files?
isnt it US / EUR / J ?
ive checked and my bios-files are named exactly the same as the ones on Github
-
No. You haven't read the wiki page
The BIOS filename is: us_scd1_9210.bin
-
What is the output of
ls -la ~/RetroPie/BIOS/us_scd1_9210.bin
?
