Status of Retropie on PI 5

Good morning,
Created an account because was wondering what is the status on the Retropie project for PI 5. It's been over two years since a news update, even one as short as we are still around and kicking. I see that there is no official image yet but does anyone have detailed manual install instructions?

This is the way for now.

Oops, I deleted this image, but I'll upload a new one today from a freshly installed a few weeks ago.
